Luminous Penitence

“Look at me! Clay in the shape of stillness, reverence formed from plaster by God’s hands.
“I listen, I listen! Gaze upon it! In my enduring reverence, I make of you a ghost.
“So speak to me, ghost. Listening for the voice of God, I would hear your sad story.”
A drawing that started as a practice pose with some detail added for character… then the emergence of a personality, attentive, reverent, dedicated but vain. He reminds me of the hero Himmel from Frieren, for anyone who has seen it. •
